Finding The Notes

Learning where the notes are on the fretboard can take time. Memorizing or visualizing where the notes are is a common way to learn the notes on the fretboard. There are 12 notes in the complete musical scale. For example: A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A. When played on a single string on the fretboard, the names of the notes are in a linear progression. These 12 notes are repeated on the fretboard in various locations.  When played across the strings, there are scale patterns to help locate the octaves and can help you learn the notes.
